Arroyo Animal Clinic
Appointment Policy
Welcome to Arroyo Animal Clinic! We are dedicated to providing exceptional care for your beloved dogs, cats, and pocket pets. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our clients, we’ve outlined our appointment policies below. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Appointment Cancellation
When you book an appointment, you reserve a space that is no longer available to other patients. In consideration of all our clients, please call the Clinic at 408-241-4450 as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment or if you’re running late. If cancellation is necessary, we require at least 24 hours’ notice. This policy applies to new client appointments as well. Appointments are in high demand, and your advance notice allows another patient to access that appointment time. Please note, for new client appointments, we require a deposit to hold the appointment. The deposit will be applied to the exam fee but will be forfeited if proper notice is not given.
Late Cancellations/No-Shows
A cancellation is considered late when it occurs less than 24 hours before the appointment time. For Tuesday appointments, notice must be given by 10 am the previous Friday, as we are closed on weekends and Mondays. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without canceling. In either case, a $65 missed appointment fee will be applied. For two or more no-shows, pre-payment of the exam fee will be required and forfeited if the appointment is missed again.
Late to Appointments
If you arrive 10 minutes late or more to your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule unless the Doctor’s schedule can still accommodate you. A $35 fee will be charged. Priority will be given to patients who arrive on time, and you may be worked in between them, likely leading to a considerable wait. If this is inconvenient, you may choose to reschedule; however, the late fee will still apply. One or two late arrivals can cause the entire daily schedule to fall behind, inconveniencing everyone, and we strive to see every patient as close to their appointment time as possible.
Surgeries
A deposit may be required for surgeries. If a deposit is taken, it will apply to the scheduled surgery/procedure. Please inform us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice. For Tuesday procedures, notice must be given by 10 AM the previous Friday, as we are closed on weekends and Mondays. If proper notice is not given, the deposit will be forfeited.
Ultrasounds
We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for ultrasound cancellations. Please keep in mind we work with mobile radiologists, who are in very high demand so if proper notice is not given, a fee may be applied.
We appreciate your understanding and adherence to our appointment policies. Our aim is to ensure every visit is pleasant and efficient for both you and your pets. For any inquiries or assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. We look forward to welcoming you and your cherished pets soon!
